Kula Project for 2 reasons. 1) They work in one of my favorite places (Rwanda) and 2) they teach economic empowerment through entrepreneurship, which I think is a really novel and sustainable approach to eradicating poverty.

I love the bottom up, on-the-ground strategy for improving the quality of life in Nicaragua. I’ve visited them before at their home base in Chinandega, and the folks I met were down to earth, positive, and genuinely good people. "We work shoulder-to-shoulder with Nicaraguan neighbors to bring clean water, healthcare, education, and economic opportunity to rural communities in need”

Project Healing Waters - This is a fly fishing charity that helps wounded veterans rehabilitate. My father helped run the Atlanta chapter and fly fishing has always been a part of my life, but also military service has always been something I admire and respect.

EBResearch - EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa) affects over 500,000 children and adults across the globe. It's a cruel disease that no one should ever have to endure and I truly hope we can find a cure.

I lead Standard Education, where I work with school districts to turn messy data and even messier problems into products people can actually use. I also spend a surprising amount of time deciding whether a spreadsheet should become software.

Standard Education’s FTE Funding Optimizer. It helps districts find funding they may be leaving on the table for students who already qualify for additional support. I never expected to have this many opinions about Georgia funding formulas.

East Atlanta Kids Club.  I’ve seen up close how they create opportunities for kids in our community through afterschool and summer programs. I love that the work is local, practical, and focused on helping kids discover what is possible for them.

I'm the product lead for global health at Standard Co. In my spare time I run a doggy day care for wiener dogs. But we only take one dog at a time. This is not a joke.

A really neat AI enabled tool helps countries submit their official dossier to the WHO when they've eliminated a disease.

I'm a Developer at Standard Co and focus primarily on backend development.

I bought a new PC where I hand picked the parts. I also installed the OS and the software by myself.

A charity that involves agriculture and local farmers is close to my heart since my father is a farmer. I read about a charity that helped poor farmers with their problem with water. They were taught permaculture. This provided them with a steady water supply for their crops and drinking water. With the improved water supply they were able to have more options on what crops they can plant and also they now have a longer planting season.

Nothing. Actually nothing at all.

Gerald isn't a real person. Back in 2017, we created a bot to track our weekly company stand-ups. Lacking a good name for this crucial fortune teller of "who is doing what", we landed on 'Gerald'. Since then, he's taken on a life of his own in the bowels of Standard Co's technical library. So much so, that we decided to include him on our team page. Welcome aboard Gerald!

Gerald doesn't really build things for us but he DOES handle technical support for us. He wakes from his slumber once per hour to answer and route any inbound technical support inquiries we get.
